At Mt. Sinai, the residents are exposed to facial and lower extremity trauma, hand surgery and breast reconstruction. Mt. Sinai is a 319 bed hospital with a level 1 trauma center. All facial trauma and all hand surgery are done by the Plastic Surgery Service. The Hand Surgery Service has a dedicated Hand Surgery Clinic. Microsurgery cases center on complex extremity reconstruction. Mt Sinai is about 10 minute drive from UIH. The faculty from UIH all work at Mt. Sinai.
